Fluor Facelift

Fluor Facelift @ Park Place

Irvine, California

This project envisioned a major facelift to the 3 main entry courts of the infamous Fluor office building to reinvigorate and redefine the complex into multiple Class A office headquarters for various preeminaent creative Orange County brands, such as Quicksilver.  Built in 1972, the Fluor headquarters complex was a futuristic building for it’s time and included 1.7 million square feet of office space that showcased what then were cutting-edge communications, climate control, energy management systems, and one of the first uses of a mirrored glass skin.  The building housed almost 5,000 employees, and was so large that carpet was ordered by the acre.  The futuristiclooking building along the 405 Freeway has been used in various films including “Defending Your Life” and “Demolition Man.”
